What is the LJINCC?
By pooling the resources from over 100 labs from the four San Diego institutions and by allowing investigators access to many of each other's Core Facilities, the LJINCC hopes to advance the study of the nervous system and develop treatments for related diseases.
What is the NIH Blueprint Program?
The Blueprint for Neurosciences Research, is an NIH funded grant beneath the LJINCC umbrella. The grant supports core technology facilities for researchers studying the nervous system and isled by the team of Stuart Lipton, M.D., Ph.D., Director of the Center for Neuroscience, Aging and Stem Cell Research at the Burnham Institute for Medical Research, and Stephen Heinemann, Ph.D., Professor in the Molecular Neurobiology Laboratory of the Salk Institute for Biological Studies.
